voestalpine Automotive Components East London (Pty) Ltd. is specialist in manufacturing complexassemblies for car body and crash protection vehicle parts. As a JIT plant with 76 employees, thislocation supplies local automakers and provides exclusive access to the African market.

As part of the voestalpine group, the location shows dynamic development with the latest processesand technologies. Customer projects are implemented in close collaboration with the GermanCompetence Center with access to group-wide, international expertise. 

To ensure that all equipment is running and maintained in the facility and to be involved and participate in the company's activities. This role requires a hands-on problem solver with strong technical knowledge and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.

• Ensure availability of equipment at all times.
• Ensure preventative maintenance activities are up to date
• Manage breakdowns on shift
• Must be able to work shifts
• On stand by at intervals, own transport essential
• When needed weekend work is available
• Shutdown maintenance availability
• Be a suitable role model for our apprentices on site
• Understand customer specific requirements
• Adhere to SHE standards of the plant
• Assist and intervene in any process that is not producing quality products as set down by specifications and procedures

We currently run two shifts per day - 06h00:14h00, 14h00:22h00 the candidate must be able to work these hours.

Qualifications required:

• Technical qualification e.g. millwright etc.
• The candidate should have 8 to 10 years experience in a technical / maintenance environment.
• Robotics experience (FANUC experience advantageous)
