Job description

Establishing a new staff position for our digitalization team, you lead captivating projects that focus on data generation, visualization, and analysis. Covering the full range from digitalization architectures to implementations, you keep the overview of data flows in complex plant processes and product structures. You monitor digitalization technologies, analytical methods, and market trends to exploit their potential for innovating processes and products in the voestalpine Metal Forming Division.
» Develop digitalization strategies to design new projects
» Roll out digitalization projects focusing on data science, automation, and systems integration
» Implement projects for data collection, visualization, and analysis, as well as process modeling and interpretation
» Apply statistical methods for optimizing processes, database technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Mongo-DB),and machine learning algorithms
» Plan, evaluate, control, and document digitalization projects
» Consider IT security, data governance, IT asset management, risk and license management

Qualifications

» University degree (MSc): technical mathematics, computer sciences, mechatronics (or similar with background in IT, big data, data science, engineering, statistics)
» Academic background and implementation experience in data science
» Process-oriented and analytical approach
» Strong ability to analyze and simplify complex technical issues
» IT and programming expertise: Expert level skills for Python, SQL, Apache Framework; highly
proficient in analytics tools (Matlab, SAS), MS Office, Windows/Linux; proficient in Step 7, TIA,
WINCC, PCS 7, OPC UA, Profinet, Profibus, S7, MQTT, Docker; and basic level SAP skills
» Project management experience and training
» High proficiency in German (C1) and English (B2)
» Communicative team player with high flexibility and self-organization skills
» Readiness to travel (driver’s license)
» Experience in the industry

What we offer

Salary package and benefits: The minimum salary agreement for this position is € 3.500,00 gross (14 x per year). The actual payment depends on the particular qualification and experience.
